Magic Winx Transformation Discussion:
The name of the season 1 transformation for the series is called "Magic Winx" which is also named after the group. Depending on the version of the show you watch you will get a different meaning of the transformation name. The term "Winx" comes from the word Wings taking out the gs and replacing it with an X.
Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, & Tecna:

For the Rai English or Cinelume dub in the start of the series the term "Winx" is just a name Bloom uses for the group. However, towards the end of the season Faragonda coins the term as the definition of a modern fairy.
Aisha/Layla:

The 4kids version of the show adds more meaning to the transformation name then the Rai English and Nickelodeon version of the show. It is the source of a fairy's magical power as she draws her "Winx" in order to obtain it.
Nickelodeon:
For the one hour specials nickelodeon does not use Magic Winx for the transformation name instead they use Charmix (the season 2 transformation) however, they still have the same appearance as the original transformation. During the dub for season 3 they revert back to the original transformation name as well as transformation music.
Music:
The transformation music for magic winx is entitled "We Girls Are The Winx" for the Rai dub, "We Are The Winx" for the 4kids dub (this is also the opening song for season 1), and "Magic Charmix" for the nickelodeon dub.
My Favorite Magic Winx
My favorite Magic Winx based on the Rai English dub is actually Musa. I personally love the simplistic style of Magic Winx and I like how they use the winx's colors in their outfits.
